To ever it may concern,

I finished one of my favorite books of all time Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls. The reason I chose to read this book is because I love dogs, and this book is about two coon hounds. I think it is easy to describe about dogs, because there so lovable. For some reason every dog book makes me cry. The reason this is one of my favorite books is because this is very descriptive and I love dogs.
Pretty much, this book is about a kid who always wanted dogs so he saves up all his money by chopping wood and doing over odd jobs. He studies what dog he would like to have and he decides coon hounds. He finely gets these cute puppies and trains them to catch raccoons. He and his dogs become the greatest coon hunters in his state. But an evil cat attacks them and I don’t want to give away the rest. The next paragraph is from a part of the book that really symbolizes the book.
“I never say my dogs when they got between the lion and me,
But they were there.
Side by side,
They rose up from the ground as one.
They sailed straight into those jaws of death,
Their small, red bodies taking the ripping,
Slashing claws meant for me.”
This passage would be the best example in the entire book, because it the shows the bond between the dogs and Billy. They risked there life for the sake of Billy's life. It was also very descriptive, and I love how antsy it feels will your reading. I wanted to know if the dogs were ok the entire time I was reading those pages.
This was one of those books that you want to read again and again. The theme of this book would be that dogs are great as look as you’re nice and caring to them.
I read this book relatively quickly it took me 2 weeks of so. I would have finished sooner but I have a very busy schedule. I read it so fast because I love to read about dogs. I also wanted him to when that contest.

Once I finished this book I wanted to read it again and so I did because even though I new what was going to happen I wanted to read Wilson Rawls genius again.
If this became a movie this would be rated pg because this is a kid friendly book but great for the entire family.

I choose my colors and fonts purple, yellow , green, blue because they stand out on the blog. Plus purple and blue are some of my favorite colors  and plus it looks cool.

The book I am reading is where the red fern grows by Wilson Rawls. It is about a boy named billy who works for money to buy coon hounds
